The “Camille Hostel” foyer

Built urgently after the 2015 earthquake, the home is made up of a large single-storey building made of good quality prefabricated material.

It includes 2 dormitories, a study room, a kitchen refectory, 2 small shower rooms, a large courtyard with WC.

The team consists of Sushi Gujrati TAMANG and two housekeepers called didis (big sisters).

The big girls help the little ones whether it is with the toilet or the homework.

Five computers were purchased by NEL to introduce children to computing.

The student apartment

Following covid, many boarding schools closed. It was therefore necessary to accommodate more girls in the same space.

An apartment next to the home has been rented to accommodate older children (classes 11 and 12). They are responsible for its maintenance. This allows them to begin to gain independence. However, they are required to come and study at the hostel where the computers are located and they also take their meals there.

Amrit Heller Academy

This small school was created from scratch in 2016 by Sushi Gujrati Tamang, the first little girl for whom NEL was created. Sushi made his dream come true: to educate as many poor children as possible free of charge thanks to the support of several associations.

Grateful to the founders of NEL whom she calls Papa and Mamou, she gave her school, in addition to her father's name, that of Michelle and Pierre-André HELLER, her benefactors. Located on land rented by NEL for the home, the school has 5 classes and a newly built playground. Its expansion will take place with partial help from NEL in 2024. A 6th grade class, a computer laboratory and a library are planned, as well as a small sports field.

NEL entrusted him with 25 children from kindergarten to class 5.

         Ellaine Memorial School

This school, located in the same neighborhood as the home (Sitapaila), welcomes  children from kindergarten to class 12.  NEL has entrusted her with her daughters since the start of the school year in April 2022 from 6th to class 12.

Higher schools (colleges)

NEL currently has 4 students in classes 12 management, a dental student at Kantipur Dental College and a scholarship student in accounting.

The colleges chosen are Ellaine Memorial College, South Western College, Morgan College, Kantipur Dental School etc...
